MCKIBBEN RESIDENCE

At our consultation this client shared her concern over their side yard.  They wanted to have an entertainment area that included a place for lounging, a fire pit and a pool.  She said, "right now I need help developing my vision and getting started."  I got ya girl! ;)

Knowing that the entertainment area was her first priority I designed a rectangular patio close to the door that leads to the kitchen.  She also mentioned that their house is the "family house" you know, the one where everyone shows up for a good meal and a good time so I included a cook station for her husband who loves to cook.

From there the pool is planned to go a little further back from the entertainment area to provide more privacy from the road while the fire pit is tucked away on the back side of the pool close to the gorgeous hardwoods on their property.

To get started, they installed the entertainment area and cook station which immediately solved concern number one.

When asked "tell me how you envision your landscape in the future," the client responded with "warm, welcoming space for family and friends to gather." This roadmap will give them the time to decide what they want to implement next and when as well as help guide them throughout future phases while achieving their dream landscape.
